This was Chicken Dave’s favorite menu item and our most popular steak and cheese sub!
Ingredients

3x 11” inch sub rolls

2 lbs. shaved steak
-
9 slices bacon
-
9 slices American cheese
-
¾ cup thinly sliced onion
-
¾ cup thinly sliced green peppers
-
9 tbsp of our Signature Honey Mustard
-
4 tbsp Franks Red Hot Sauce
Directions
Slice each sub roll down its length, making sure not to cut completely through the roll. Add 2 slices of American cheese to each and set aside.
Cook the bacon in an iron skillet or heavy frying pan. When cooked to your liking, remove the bacon and divide evenly into each sub roll.
Discard most of the bacon fat from the pan, leaving behind just enough to coat the pan. Place the pan back on a medium heat burner until the residual bacon fat becomes hot again.
Add the peppers and onions and keep stirring until they start to soften and the onions caramelize. Add the steak.
Chop the steak and veggies frequently as it cooks. When the steak has been cooked completely (no pink), top it with the last slices of American cheese and allow it to melt.
Remove the pan from the heat and divide the steak mixture evenly between the 3 rolls.
Top each sub with 3 tbsp of our Signature Honey Mustard and approximately 1 tbsp of Franks Red Hot sauce.
