Ingredients
-
1 12-14 lb Turkey
-
2 packages of Bacon
-
1 Bottle of our TKO™ Seasoning Salt
-
1 Bottle of our Signature Honey Mustard
Directions
Set oven to 340°F and spray a rimmed baking sheet and metal cooking rack with non-stick cooking spray. Set the rack over the tray.
Set the turkey on a cutting board. Pour approximately 1 cup of our Signature Honey Mustard into a bowl. Using a brush, apply honey mustard evenly over entire turkey breast. Reserve unused honey mustard.
Apply a liberal amount of our TKO™ Seasoning Salt. Make sure to cover the entire turkey.
Wrap bacon around the turkey. Be sure to cover the entire exposed surface of the turkey. (secure the bacon in-place with toothpicks if needed)
Take reserved honey mustard and apply over the bacon on the turkey. Add more to the bowl if needed.
Place the turkey on the rack, bacon-side up.
Roast the turkey at 340°F. Test the internal temperature of the turkey after about 2 hours (the temperature should be 160°F on an instant-read thermometer from the thickest part of the turkey).
Continue roasting and checking the temperature of the turkey until internal temperature reaches 160°F
If the bacon isn’t browned, set the oven to broil and cook the turkey just long enough to crisp the bacon.
Transfer the turkey to a cooling rack and remove the toothpicks. Let turkey rest 15 minutes prior to slicing.
Recipe Note
Use the leftovers to make delicious turkey sandwiches for lunch for the week!
